Royal Tour Fashion: Day 2

As the royal pair celebrated Canada Day in Ottawa, the fashion was all about Kate's custom-made red Sylvia Fletcher hat.  She endeared herself to a nation by enthusiastically embracing their most well known symbol, the maple leaf.

She also wore a maple leaf brooch - a rather special one at that as the same one Queen Elizabeth wore on her 1951 tour of Canada.

Once again, if you think you've seen the white dress before you have.  It's the same Reiss one she wore for their official engagement photos with Mario Testino.

This is the Anya Hindmarch basket fan clutch she's carrying.  FYI it's currently on sale but good luck finding one left now that Kate's been seen with it.

Then for the evening concert it was back Issa again, this time a purple jersey.  Oh, and when I went to their website to grab a link for the dress, it had crashed.  This girl's impact on fashion is seriously serious!

The brooch makes an encore appearance.

I'm already wondering what the fashion choices for Day 3 will be.

Fashion Friday

This week in fashion:

Rosie Huntington shimmered in silver at the premiere of Transformers.

Beyonce brightened up London on Monday.

Delta Goodrem kept it cool with Boheminian chic at LAX on Saturday and Jen wore a lacy LBD to The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Tuesday.

Gwyneth Paltrow posed in Louis Vuitton jewellery and very little else.

Kim Kardashian crossed a NY street in garish neon and navy on Sunday.

Kirstie Alley wore Roland Mouret in Tribeca and Heidi Klum was the coolest soccer mum we've ever seen.

Tara Palmer-Tomkinson and Yasmin Lebon are bright at the Serpentine Gallery in London on Tuesday.

A crazy new pair of 8-inch Christian Louboutins were unveiled on Thursday.  Thankfully they have been created as part of a unique fashion lot being auctioned off to raise funds for the English National Ballet (ENB).

Pippa Middleton created her own fashion furore by wearing a Hobbs summer frock to Wimbledon on Wednesday - it sold out online and Rose Byrne looked serious at the new season of Damages premiere the same night.

Jessica Alba works mother earth maternity in Beverley Hills on Sunday.

Posh launched her more affordable clothing line Victoria by Victoria Beckham.

So the low for me was Kim Kardashian's ensemble and the high is Posh's new collection, I love it!

Royal Tour to Canada: Day 1

As I have confessed before, I come from a long line of royal nuts so you can rest assured I shall be covering the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge's first official tour to Canada in glorious technicolour and arcane minutea - well the fashion anyway (and yes, all 11 days of it!).

Kate leaves Heathrow Airport in a smart navy Roland Mouret and blazer from Smythe, toting a current season Mulberry bag.

Get Kate's look for yourself...

Blazer from here (BTW, how cute is the back)...

...and the fabulous Mulberry Polly Push Lock Tote here.

Then after a mid-flight change of outfit she stepped out in Ottawa wearing a navy lace Cecile shift from Erdem Moraliaglu's 2012 resort collection.  Paired with neutral pumps and clutch, she makes another stylish statement.

She ends their day at an informal BBQ wearing Issa and her trusty LK Bennett wedges.

Now if this dress looks familiar it's because it should.  She wore it back in 2006 and again on the eve of her wedding to William in April.

You should prepare yourself to spend the next 10/11 days being very, very bored if Kate's royal fashion sense is not your thing because it's certainly mine!

Vanity Fair: August Issue

Well the August issue of VF has dropped and it's another dud cover story in my opinion (do I still have to clarify like that or can we just assume that is what a blog is all about?).  Honestly, I must be getting old because all I've got to say is who the f*** is Emma Stone?  I've barely heard of her.  I think I might of, but am not sure?  Can't even be bothered to google and find out.

This is the calibre of VF cover star wattage I have grown to expect...

...and quite frankly Graydon, I'd like to be kept in the manner I have become accustomed to!
